Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! This is sunshine and beach days wrapped up in a delicious meal! Light, fluffy coconut rice, topped with mangoes and a sweet, but spicy jerk sauce, is the perfect side to a piece of crispy jerk chicken! And after letting the chicken marinade overnight, baking the chicken and making the rice will have you finishing both dishes at about the same time, so nothing gets cold before you eat! Perfection!
Nuoc Cham Chicken Salad with Noodles
Nuoc cham is a bright Vietnamese sauce highlighted by fresh lime juice and chiles. Tossed over chicken and vermicelli noodles, with crunchy carrots and cucumbers, you get a satisfyingly light salad that gives a salty-sweet finish. It will be a great addition to add to your salad rotation!
Chicken Musakhan Tacos
Musakhan is considered the national dish of Palestine. It’s a dish consisting of roasted chicken, caramelized onions, pine nuts, and lots of warm spices, including sumac and allspice! Typically, you eat this dish over taboon bread with your hands, but these wonderful tastes and flavors lend themselves perfectly for another handheld bread: a taco! This is a uniquely delicious taco that you’re sure to fall in love with!
Easy Moo Shu Chicken Wraps
A fun, easy, chicken-based take on the classic moo shu pork! The chicken lends itself perfectly to the savory and subtly sweet flavors of the hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce.
