Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! But the real star of the dish is the crispy fried tofu! Pressed and then marinated in hoisin sauce, this allows the tofu to soak up as much of the marinade as possible. And then fry them to crisp perfection before sprinkling a hand full over the noodles for an irresistible combination of flavor and crunch!
Spicy Harissa-Lentils with Lemon Tahini Dressing and Caramelized Onions
As summer turns to fall and the temperatures slowly start to drop, a delicious bowl of tender lentils is the perfect way to warm back up! Mixed with harissa, the lentils come with a bit heat to them, which is cooled with a silky lemon-tahini dressing. And top with irresistible caramelized onions to give your meal an extra level of decadence!
Apfelküchle - German Apple Fritter Pancake
Apfelküchle is a dessert I grew up eating all the time! Whip up a quick pancake-like batter that you dip apple slices into and fry up until golden brown. My preference is to top them with sugar and cinnamon, but whipped cream or vanilla ice cream are also delicious options! Quick, simple, and tasty!
BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Coleslaw
Pulled pork sandwiches are so delicious, it’s always good to make a lot! Whether you use all the shredded pork right away or save some for later, this stove-top recipe makes that super easy. Toss the pulled pork with your favorite BBQ sauce and top each sandwich with a homemade coleslaw and you’re about to be eating good!

Simon’s Hearty Beef Chili
I’ve always been a big fan of corn in my chili. I know it’s not the most traditional, but those small, sweet crunches bites pair perfectly with the rest of the chili. Warming spices, slow-cooked with hearty beef, two types of beans, and tomatoes and you’re left with one of my favorite belly-filling meals. Make a big pot and enjoy it over a few days!

In this great seafood noodle salad, you get blend of salty, briny tuna and olives paired with earthy tomatoes and sweet corn. And because every good meal needs a crunchy element, we throw in some celery for good measure! One thing I can’t resist is a savory barbecue sandwich. Slow-cooked meat, that’s been shredded, doused in a barbecue sauce, and layered between a bun is so simple, yet so enjoyable! Patience is key, but when you take that first bit, it’ll all be worth it!
