Are you ready to eat?
Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! Enjoy!

Pumpkin Cookies
I love fall and all of the delicious things that are in season! Pumpkins are super versatile and making a batch of pumpkin cookies, especially ones with a homemade pumpkin puree, will put you and everyone who enjoys them into a great fall mood! Paired with a decadent burnt butter frosting, these cookies will definitely be a hit!
Homemade Pumpkin Puree
Pumpkin puree is a great staple to have on hand that you can build a lot of delicious recipes around! Making your own pumpkin puree helps add an additional layer of depth to these dishes and is super easy to make yourself!
Carrot Cake with Roasted Carrots and Maple Cream Cheese Frosting
I absolutely love carrot cakes! And this one stands out from the rest because you first roast some of the carrots, giving the cake a more full-bodied, caramelized, and slightly savory flavor. By adding maple syrup to the cream cheese frosting, it blends perfectly with the other flavors and adds that hint of warming sweetness! It’s a cake you won’t be able to resist going back for seconds!
Spiced Blood Orange Shrub
With citrus season coinciding so perfectly with the holiday season, it’s a great time of year to mix up a drink celebrating both! Ditch the navel oranges for some blood oranges and mix in some cinnamon and spice and everything nice!
Tortellini with Sage Brown Butter and Mushrooms
Roasted garlic, fragrant sage, and umami-rich mushrooms are sautéed in butter making it turn a deliciously amber brown. And sprinkle in some walnuts for a tantalizingly soft crunch, just for good measure! An easy meal to cook and a delicious meal to eat, this dish is great for any occasion!
Beef, Pork, and Beans Chili
Chili is one of my favorite things to make! The methodical chopping of all the veggies, the fragrant smells as you begin cooking, the slow simmer as the chili bubbles along, and, the best part, getting to enjoy it once you’re done! As summer turns to fall and winter, nothing beats a hot bowl of chili to warm you right up!
Pumpkin Pie Sponge Cake with Apple Cider Caramel and Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting
In the fall, we all love our pumpkin pies and apple pies, but this cake is the perfect way to mix up your fall cake options! Two delicious pumpkin pie sponges separated by a layer of perfectly smooth and creamy vanilla cream cheese frosting. But the secret ingredient in this cake is the apple cider caramel! No added sugar, just apple cider reduced to a caramel with a little butter, that is drizzled between sponge layers. So we’re talkin’ pumpkin, apple cider, and vanilla all in one bite!
Fall-Filled Acorn Squash
A fun fall meal that’s unique in every way! Filling an acorn squash with chorizo, rice, kale, leeks, and spinach isn’t something you probably normally do, but the outcome is well worth it! The sweetness of the squash, the earthy notes from the greens, the fatty, spiciness from the chorizo, and the rice to soak up all the juices makes this the perfect fall meal!
Cola-Braised Birthday Short Ribs
This is a fun and easy meal, that looks and tastes fancier than it is! Perfect for a family celebration! Using cola for both sweetness and a bit of flavor makes this dish taste so good! But don’t be alarmed, your short ribs won’t taste like cola. So who’s ready to dig into some fall-off-the-bone short ribs on a cooler fall evening!
Sweet and Crunchy Quinoa Salad
Between the crunch of a roasted pine nut and the sweetness from a sweet potato and cranberry, this quinoa salad shows you just how great it is, for any occasion! Mix it all together with a hint of honey and cinnamon and you’ve got yourself a tasty, healthy treat!
