Are you ready to eat?
Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! Enjoy!

Viennese Schnitzel (Wiener Schnitzel)
One of the most well-known foods from Austria, schnitzel is loved throughout German-speaking countries and plenty of other parts of the world. Thin cuts of veal, breaded and fried to golden-brown perfection, with a squeeze of lemon, to cut through the fat, enjoying a schnitzel is always a good idea!
Vegetarian Bean and Tomato Soup
The perfect soup when you want something flavorful and meat-free! All those wonderful flavors of a chili, minus the meat, but with additional vegetable broth to let all of those wonderfully warming flavors blend together! With a kick from chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, a crunch from tortilla chips, and a tang from the lime juice, this is a great meal for any occasion!
Arroz con Pollo
A popular dish in Latin America, arroz con pollo is a simple one-pot meal that’s easy to prep and delicious to eat! Packed with plenty of veggies and bursting with flavor thanks to all the spices and seasonings, this is a great meal to make when you want to keep things relatively healthy. Make it for the whole family or meal-prep and store leftovers for tasty meals the next few days!
Thai Chicken Curry with Snap Peas
On a cold, wintry evening nothing helps warm you up quite like a bowl of Thai chicken curry! The creamy coconut milk that permeates the dish allows the veggies to soften and blend perfectly with the Thai curry paste. A squeeze of lime finishes off the curry for that subtle hint of freshness that’ll have you reaching for a second bowl!
Vegan German Spaetzle
Spaetzle are classic German, irregular-shaped noodles that are normally made with eggs, so it can be tough for vegans who miss out on this delicious staple! This recipe is here to save the day! The taste and texture of this vegan version is almost identical to those made with eggs. Honestly, if you didn’t know these were vegan Spaetzle, you couldn’t tell the difference, they are that good!
Fish and Veggie Packets
Easy, quick, healthy, and, most importantly, tasty! Four perfect adjectives to describe this packet meal. Cut up some veggies, whip up a quick marinade, combine everything with the fish in an aluminum foil packet, bake for 25 minutes and you’re ready for a deliciously nutritious meal!
Thai Basil Chicken
Nothing beats the wonderful smells of fragrant Thai chili, garlic, and Thai basil stir frying in a wok! So fresh and pungent, it’ll make you hungry just thinking about the meal to come. Thankfully, stir frying doesn’t take very long so you’ll be chowing down in no time!
German Meat Sauce with Noodles (Hasche mit Nudeln)
Basic German comfort food that I loved to eat growing up! It uses special German pork roast sauce packets, that may be hard to come by, but if you happen to have them, or a similar pork roast sauce packet, you’re in for a real trip with this simple, but delicious, noodle dish!
Thai Sweet Potatoes with Crispy Chickpeas
Filling a well in the center of a baked, soft sweet potato with crispy chickpeas, that have been perfectly seasoned, and drizzled with a tantalizing tahini sauce, that’s slightly sweet, yet savory, with a hint of spiciness, and garnished with fresh cilantro and green onions is the start to a wonderful meal! Between delicious bites, you’ll almost forget that this meal is entirely vegan and, with minimal amounts of maple syrup and oil, it’s also incredibly healthy and nutritious!
Slow Cooker Chickpea, Pumpkin, and Red Lentil Curry
When it comes to simple, healthy, and tasty meals you can't go wrong with a vegetarian curry! The pumpkin adds a subtle hint of earthy, creaminess, but because it's not as sweet as a squash or sweet potato it blends perfectly with this curry! And a spritz of lime juice and cilantro adds a splash of freshness to round out this soothing dish!
Carrot and Zucchini Fritters with Creamy Herb Sauce
While nothing beats a potato fritter, a fun variation that I’ve found is to use carrots and zucchini instead. The veggies are grated just like a potato fritter, so the texture is the same. But these are so much more flavorful! And drizzle a delicious herb sauce over top because what’s a fritter without a great sauce to go with it!
Reuben Sandwich
There’s nothing better than a perfectly made Reuben sandwich! Crispy, toasted rye bread. Creamy, cool Russian dressing. Tangy, crunchy sauerkraut. Gooey, melted Swiss cheese. And deliciously, warm slices of corned beef! It takes a long time to prep and cook, but making an entire Reuben (almost) from scratch, is well worth that first sandwich!
Green Beans and Mushrooms with Crispy Shallots
Plenty of butter goes into sautéing these green beans and mushrooms, and it’s so worth it! Irresistible veggies that are made even better by adding crispy shallots and salty Parmesan cheese. It’s a dish that everyone can agree on!
Tortellini with Sage Brown Butter and Mushrooms
Roasted garlic, fragrant sage, and umami-rich mushrooms are sautéed in butter making it turn a deliciously amber brown. And sprinkle in some walnuts for a tantalizingly soft crunch, just for good measure! An easy meal to cook and a delicious meal to eat, this dish is great for any occasion!
Pork and Shrimp Dumplings
There’s nothing tastier than chowing down on delicious dumplings! These pork and shrimp dumplings are perfect for any dumpling craving with an accompanying dipping sauce that wonderfully blends all the flavors. Best of all about making dumplings yourself … you can eat as many as you want!
Beef, Pork, and Beans Chili
Chili is one of my favorite things to make! The methodical chopping of all the veggies, the fragrant smells as you begin cooking, the slow simmer as the chili bubbles along, and, the best part, getting to enjoy it once you’re done! As summer turns to fall and winter, nothing beats a hot bowl of chili to warm you right up!
Rainbow Veggie and Pesto Tart
A beautiful veggie tart that’ll impress everyone who sees it! With its rings of vibrant colors and delectable veggies it’s almost a shame that you have to cut into it to serve. But those feelings are soon forgotten once you take that first, delicious bite!
Brussels Sprouts with Pickled Carrots, Cilantro and Citrus Vinaigrette
This is a wonderful dish full of fall flavors (with a hint of summer for those of us who can’t let go 😊). Crispy charred Brussels sprouts creates a delicious base that’s topped with decadent pickled carrots, toasted walnuts, and mixed together with a drizzle of a citrus vinaigrette. Vegetarian and seasonal, this is perfect as a main dish or a side dish and will showcase those falls flavors beautifully!
Fish Wraps with Chili-Lime Slaw
Perfectly flaky tilapia surrounded by creamy avocado, tangy chili-lime slaw, and crunchy pumpkin seeds, now that’s a flavor profile you can’t beat! Lots of veggies, lots of protein, lots of color, and absolutely delicious. Make the slaw ahead of time for an even easier meal prep. This is a perfect healthy weeknight meal that everyone is sure to love!
Lamb Keema Tacos
A wonderfully aromatic dish, these tacos are essentially a minced lamb curry that’s thickened up so you can eat it on a taco. Flavorful, hearty meat is topped with fresh onions and cilantro, with a dollop of crema fresca for good measure, these tacos are sure to hold their own against your favorite Taco Tuesday tacos. For a unique taco flavor, these are the way to go!
