Are you ready to eat?
Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! Enjoy!

If you’re craving tacos or burritos, but don’t want the tortillas and rice, this is the perfect option for you! All the same great flavors of a chicken taco, served, instead, over a bed of lettuce. Creamy Tuscan Salmon
This is the perfect ‘fancy’ seafood dish for the summer! Fresh, in-season cherry tomatoes and basil are great to use because they're in season. Texas-Style Oven Beef Brisket
This barbeque is so good, you’ll think it came from your favorite BBQ spot! Nothing compares to brisket that’s smoked for hours over coals, but many of us don’t have the resources or knowhow to do that. So, this is the perfect alternative! A tantalizing blend of spices makes for a great, flavorful brisket. But what puts this recipe over the top is the added combination of pickled jalapeno and red onions, for a tangy, spicy crunch, and the delectable Texas BBQ sauce that you just want to drizzle over everything!
Tortellini and Tomato Sauce
I absolutely love tortellini so anytime I can make a sauce for them, I jump at the opportunity! I was inspired to create this simple tomato sauce over the summer because of all of the fresh cherry tomatoes I was picking, while the Roma tomatoes help round out the flavor. When in a pinch, this is a quick sauce that tastes much better than anything you’d find at the store!
Laotian Lamb Larb
Larb is considered the national dish of Laos, and is widely enjoyed throughout Asia! Larb can be made using any various forms of protein, but for this version, I decided to use lamb because of its unique flavor. For anyone who enjoys meals that are both spicy and fresh, this is perfect for you! Have fun with the meal and play around with it, whether you eat it as a lettuce wrap or if you mix everything together to make more a bowl!
Vietnamese Caramel Chicken
A deliciously sweet and spicy Vietnamese chicken dish that checks all of the boxes for a great chicken and rice dish! And the combination of coconut water, fish sauce, and lemongrass gives this dish that unique, bright flavor that’s hard to beat. And feel free to add a few more chilies to your plate if you’re open for that extra kick!
Caprese Pesto Salad
For me, this is one of the dishes that epitomizes summer! Tomatoes and basil are growing like wild in the garden, so my excitement for this dish grows the more I pick! Mix in some fresh mozzarella and pesto (because you've also made tons of that from your fresh basil) and you’ve got the perfect summer side dish that’s incredibly fresh and flavorful!
Spicy Kung Pao Beef Noodle Stir Fry
The perfect dish when you’re craving Chinese take-out but want more control over what you’re eating! The sweet, tangy, spicy combination of the sauce over perfectly cooked stir-fry noodles and veggies really satisfies that craving. While you couldn’t describe this dish as healthy, it’ll definitely hit the spot, so, have fun making it as healthy or as unhealthy as you like!
Chinese Crispy Chili Beef
Chinese 5 Spice powder is made up of cinnamon, fennel seeds, star anise, Sichuan peppercorn and cloves and is a very common ingredient in a lot of Chinese cooking. By frying the beef in cornstarch and 5 Spice powder, it gives this dish that uniquely Chinese flavor. Add some ginger and green onions, for freshness, and a good amount of red chilis, for some heat, and you’ve got yourself a very tasty dinner!
Charred Cauliflower, Halloumi, Harissa, and Hummus Pita
A truly unique dish that I’m sure not many of you have tried! By baking the cauliflower, you soften it up and impart a wonderfully smokey flavor. Add to that the soft, smokey taste of the halloumi cheese, the spiciness of the harissa, and all of your favorite toppings! This dish is not only vegetarian, but something different that you’ll love and will surely be making again soon!
Hawaiian Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with Pineapple
A special Hawaiian dish that’s perfect for summer time! Pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, and soy sauce come together to create a one-of-a-kind marinade. Add the smokey notes from the grill and you’ve got yourself a meal that’s sure to please everyone!
Grilled Peach Salad with Blueberries and Feta
A great summery salad where fruit is the star of the show! With so much fruit in season during the summer, why not take advantage and add them to a salad? To make it extra summery, let’s grill some of that fruit! And then bring it all together with a delicious dressing that has just enough tang and sweetness to send your taste buds firing on all cylinders!
Filipino Chicken Adobo
This may seem like another chicken and rice dish, but it’s much more than that! Its uniquely Filipino flavor blends sweet with spicy, warm with tangy to create a one-of-a-kind dish and a step above the other chicken and rice dishes you know. And the best part is, most of the cooking occurs when the pot is in the oven, giving you time to take care of other things while dinner is slowly cooking!
Leftover Steak & Pulled Pork Tacos
A great option when you’ve got some leftover steak or pulled pork hanging out in your freezer. The hard part is already done, so all you have to do is re-season the meat for that southern kick and top with basic condiments for an easy weekday meal!
Homemade Apple Sauce
When life gives you apples, you make apple sauce! This, at least, has been my family’s mantra when discussing our apple tree. We’ll try apple fritters, cakes, pancakes, and even hard cider, but we always end up making tons of apple sauce that doesn’t last nearly as long as it should 😊
Grilled Peaches and Corn Couscous Salad
In-season fruits and veggies – check – Grilling – check – Healthy and satiating – check. This dish combines two of summer’s must-have foods in an easy-to-make, healthy way! You can eat it as a main dish, side dish, or bring it along to a summer party!
