Are you ready to eat?
Let’s go on a world food tour! Whatever you’re in the mood for, from meat-lovers to vegans, from Europe to Asia to North and South America, these recipes are for everyone who loves to eat delicious, simple food!
My goal is to showcase delicious dishes that I’ve made, which I find are (relatively) easy to make! Some recipes require more time, and effort, while others are done within 30 minutes, but, I promise, you’ll be pleased with what you’ve made!
Unlike other sites, I won’t be detailing all of my thoughts and feelings about each recipe because, let’s be real, in the end, you just want to figure out how to make the dish and what you need to buy at the grocery store. I cut right to the chase and tell you the ingredients you’ll need and show you what the final dish will look like!
As a side note, I’m a big fan of onions, garlic, ginger, and everything spicy, so my recipes might be somewhat heavy with these ingredients, or at least more so than some people :) Be aware of this and adjust these ingredients to your own preferences because you’re the one who will be doing the eating! Enjoy!

Toasted Grilled Veggies & Halloumi Sub with Chimichurri
Grilled halloumi is a great addition when building a delicious sub! The deliciously fragrant chimichurri gives the sub its herby flavor, while grilled bell peppers and red onions give you sweet, charred notes. Round everything out with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and arugula for an irresistible bite and a sub that you’ll be making again and again!
Squid Ink Bagels
Not only are you making delicious homemade bagels, but they’ll be like nothing you’ve seen at the store! Don’t let the squid ink turn you off, the small amount used won’t leave any lingering fishy taste. Instead, you’re left with a firm crust and soft inside which, by itself, would be a perfect bagel, but for these one-of-a-kind bagels, you also get that deep black color for a truly unique bagel!
BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Coleslaw
Pulled pork sandwiches are so delicious, it’s always good to make a lot! Whether you use all the shredded pork right away or save some for later, this stove-top recipe makes that super easy. Toss the pulled pork with your favorite BBQ sauce and top each sandwich with a homemade coleslaw and you’re about to be eating good!
BBQ Shredded Chicken Sandwiches
One thing I can’t resist is a savory barbecue sandwich. Slow-cooked meat, that’s been shredded, doused in a barbecue sauce, and layered between a bun is so simple, yet so enjoyable! Patience is key, but when you take that first bit, it’ll all be worth it!
Reuben Sandwich
There’s nothing better than a perfectly made Reuben sandwich! Crispy, toasted rye bread. Creamy, cool Russian dressing. Tangy, crunchy sauerkraut. Gooey, melted Swiss cheese. And deliciously, warm slices of corned beef! It takes a long time to prep and cook, but making an entire Reuben (almost) from scratch, is well worth that first sandwich!
Laotian-Inspired Sausage Sandwich (Sai Gog Khao Jee)
From the same part of the world that brings us banh mi sandwiches, with similar French colonial influences, comes this equally delicious pork sandwich. Each sausage is bursting with spicy, yet bright, flavors charred to perfection. Layer on the fresh veggies and top with a mouth watering chili sauce, that’s the perfect level of warm spiciness. You’ll definitely include this fantastic sandwich into your regular recipes!
Old-Fashioned Sloppy Joe’s
Sloppy Joe’s are one of those dishes that doesn’t need too much experimentation or tinkering to turn out amazing! So, stick with the basics for these Sloppy Joe’s that taste just like your mom used to make!
Savory Banh Mi Sandwich
Another one of my all time favorite recipes, this classic Vietnamese sandwich, with its French roots, is always a treat! From the warm, savory meat, to the pickled veggies, to the fresh herbs, all encased in a delicious roll or baguette, this will have your taste buds bursting! It will require some planning and prep, but it’s well worth the effort once you take that first bite into your sandwich!
Homemade Nitrate-Free Corned Beef Reuben
From the corned beef, to the sauerkraut, to the Russian dressing, this Reuben is homemade from start to finish!
